Bookcrossing's 2006 North American Convention Slated for Toronto

Bookcrossing's 2006 North American Convention has now been booked for Toronto, April 21-23, 2006 at the Courtyard by Marriott on Yonge St. at College St.

I've been a member of Bookcrossing for over a year now. Although I haven't had time to be very active in releasing or catching books lately, I have done a little and managed to connect somewhat with a few people. I think this would be a fun event and will try to attend.

I got all excited for a minute. I have also been a Book Crosser for some time. That weekend I will be in Chicago for my Library Software (endeavor voyager) user meeting :(

I didn't know Bookcrossing did conventions! I'm awfully tempted. I've been a fan of the idea of Bookcrossing for some time, but I'm just not that good at letting go of books.

Jim, the flip side is trying to FIND the books that have been let go. There is even a section called "Go Hunting" http://www.bookcrossing.com/hunt that tells you were books have been released. It's fun to try to find them. I found once I got into that, I wanted to set books out for others to find. But of course that isn't a requirement.
